In the first quarter of 2024, the tabletop board games category on the Android platform has seen varying performance across popular applications in Australia. Data from Sensor Tower offers a detailed look at how these games are faring in terms of downloads, revenue, and weekly active users.

Chess - Play and Learn started the quarter with revenues of approximately $9K, eventually dipping to around $6K by the end of March. Downloads began at 2.6K in the first week of January and saw a slight decrease to just under 2K by the quarter's end. Weekly active users remained robust, starting at 62K and maintaining a steady base with a slight increase to 61K.

Backgammon - Lord of the Board showed revenues fluctuating between $3K and $5K throughout the quarter. Downloads saw peaks and troughs, with a high of 218 in the last week of March. The weekly active users for the game showed a slight increase from 2K to just over 2.1K in the same period.

The newer entrant, Domino Dreams™, had a promising quarter with revenues climbing from just under $2K to $4K by the end of March. Downloads spiked to over 2K in the second week of March before settling down to 962 in the last week. Lastly, YAHTZEE With Buddies Dice Game showed a more variable trend. Revenue saw a dip mid-quarter, falling to $7.8K before recovering to just over $10K. Downloads and weekly active users both experienced a decline, with downloads starting at 677 and ending at 424, and active users dropping from 4.4K to 3.5K.
